Cummins Power Generation is acquiring a new building in the Minneapolis-St. Paul suburb of Shoreview, with plans to consolidate its global headquarters there in 2011. The building is located a short distance from the current Fridley headquarters site.
“Making Cummins Power Generation a great place to work has been one of our principal objectives in 2010, and this move will help us reach that goal,” said Tony Satterthwaite, vice president of Cummins Inc. and president of Cummins Power Generation.
The acquisition of a new headquarters building positions Cummins Power Generation for future growth because it provides more room for new employees, reduces overcrowding and creates an environment that allows employees to collaborate more easily. The creation of a new headquarters building will also clear the way for future growth at the Fridley plant, with the consolidation of engineering staff and the addition of a new structure there.
“I am very excited about what this means for Cummins Power Generation, and my goal is to provide all employees with the tools and working environment to perform at their best,” Satterthwaite said.
