Cummins Onan has released four new videos about residential standby generators. All the videos use animation and graphics to explain various aspects of residential generator systems.
The “How the System Works” video focuses on the components of a home standby system—the generator itself (located outside the home) and the transfer switch (located inside the home)—and how they work together.
“Remote Monitoring and Control” looks at the powerful control features on the RS13A and RS20A generator models. These features include the remote-control panel that can be installed inside a home, Internet-based remote monitoring and email notification.
“What Happens When the Power Goes Out” describes the series of actions the standby system takes to provide power in the event of utility power failure. It also illustrates how the process is reversed once the utility power is restored.
“Load Management” reviews this key feature of Cummins Onan residential generators, which enables a homeowner to power essential loads and automatically manage power to other selected large appliances.
These videos and others are available on the Cummins Power Generation channel of YouTube.
