Shoppers visiting the large and impressive Palms Shopping Mall in the Lekki Peninsular district of Lagos, Nigeria, saw a different kind of display in late January – a presentation of Cummins Power Generation products and services aimed at the residential sector. As part of a drive to promote awareness of the Cummins Power Generation brand, Cummins West Africa Ltd (CWAL) staged a display of generator sets, spare parts, filtration and other products and services for the residential sector. Especially showcased were the new 10 kVA sound-proofed generator set and the 25 kVA open generator set.
Potential customers browsing the mall were particularly interested to know about the low sound level and efficient fuel consumption of the enclosed generator set. The 10 kVA set attracted extra attention because of its compact design. Meanwhile visitors from the construction sector were drawn to the display of spare parts and filtration products. CWAL’s Aftermarket team was on hand to answer their questions.
The weekend event attracted more than 500 visitors a day. The 20,000 sq/m Palms Shopping Mall – Nigeria’s newest and biggest – proved an ideal venue for building brand recognition. Further events are likely to be held in other Nigerian cities, including Harcourt and the capital Abuja.
